Birth Doula Support
From our first initial conversations through the moment you meet your baby and beyond, you’ll have continuous, compassionate support with no agenda, + the benefit of my tools, resources, and wealth of experience. Whether your first birth or your fifth, together we will explore your vision, values, questions, concerns, and background in effort to build a relationship of trust as we prepare and shape a plan through the lens of your unique family. I offer thoughtful, curated referrals as needed, tools to navigate decisions, acting as a sounding board as things may arise. I make recommendations to support the physical body and nutritional needs, inform you of your care plan options, and connect with you as needed so that you can feel truly held and confident as your pregnancy and postpartum unfolds.
Services primarily offered in-person in the Jacksonville area and Los Angeles, and virtually, anywhere in the world.
I offer a no-pressure consultation where we can discuss my services, and flexible payment arrangements, if needed. In most cases, you can also use your HSA or FSA funds toward doula care. I am an approved provider, eligible for reimbursement, by some employer-sponsored family benefit programs. Sliding scale options are available in limited number for families with financial need.
Range of investment is from $1600 to $5500.
Placenta Encapsulation
Placenta encapsulation is available for families who wish to honor this practice and explore the potential benefits, including reports of increased energy, well-being, and nourishment in the postpartum period.
I can arrange pick-up from your home or hospital during business hours. As your doula, I will bring the placenta home with me from your birth. I use the steam method followed by dehydration before turning into powder and placing into capsules. I provide safe and sanitary preparation of your placenta (following strict OSHA and food-safety guidelines) into easy-to-take capsules. Placenta encapsulation is a simple, meaningful way to honor and integrate your birth experience as you transition into new parenthood. Each placenta usually yields anywhere from 100-120 capsules, depending on size. I prefer clients to start consuming pills once breastfeeding is fully established, typically after 3-4 weeks. Typical turnaround is 7-10 days.
This service is $325 and includes pickup and delivery within 30 miles of 32224. A $25 travel fee applies beyond that. Reduced rate for current doula clients.
Prenatal Planning & Virtual Doula Support
For families seeking guidance before or during birth, I offer flexible virtual support tailored to your needs. Prenatal consultations are available for choosing your birth team, asking questions, creating preferences, and preparing for labor, birth, and postpartum. These can be one-time sessions or ongoing check-ins throughout your pregnancy. I also provide virtual childbirth education, prenatal meetings, and even real-time labor support, offering reassurance and informed guidance no matter where you are in the world.
Consultations are $125/hour, with additional fees depending on the level of virtual support desired.
Travel Doula Support
I am occasionally available to travel for births throughout Florida, where I have deep roots and experience, as well as to Los Angeles, a city I know well and frequently serve, dependent upon other commitments. Beyond these locations, I am open to traveling wherever families feel called to invite me. Travel fees and typical expenses such as airfare and accommodations are discussed during our consultation so we can create a plan that works best for your needs.

Childbirth Education
The Well-Informed Birth Team offers an in-person, 4 hour “express” childbirth education class designed to empower you and your partner for any birth setting—home, birth center, or hospital. This single, interactive session isn’t a lecture; it’s a conversation in a comfortable, welcoming environment where questions are encouraged, intuition is valued alongside evidence, and practical tools are shared from years of hands-on experience supporting hundreds of births. By the end of the class, you’ll leave feeling confident, informed, and prepared to navigate your birth and postpartum journey with clarity and support. Classes are held typically in St. Augustine or The Playgarden in Jacksonville Beach, FL, with a standard fee of $325 (current doula clients receive 50% off). Included for partnership families. The Well-Informed Birth Team
The Well-Informed Birth Team is a collaboration between doulas Katharine Deeb and Alyssa Megeath, bringing together their experience, knowledge, and intuition to support families in holistic, evidence-based childbirth and postpartum education. Beyond teaching childbirth ed classes, this partnership option also offers co-doula support, providing families with double the expertise, guidance, and presence during pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period. Together, we create a supportive, empowering environment where families can feel informed, confident, and fully prepared for their birth journey.
